The Gaza Health Ministry reported that more than 150 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza in the past 24 hours.
Local sources also reported ongoing intense and widespread bombardments by Israel over residential areas in Gaza.
Um Firas Al-Mansi, a Palestinian refugee, said: “I was asleep with my children, suddenly the missile fell here, the children flew, some here and some there. I went out to look for my children, I was screaming, looking for my children, we gathered them and sat here. There was a martyr here, he was in pieces, we found a leg here and another behind the tents, look at the blood.”
The Israeli army has stated that it has launched a major military operation against Hamas to increase pressure for the release of remaining Israeli hostages.
Meanwhile, following the Israeli military's expansion of operations in the Gaza Strip, thousands of residents in northern areas have been forced to leave their homes under Israeli orders.
Imad Naseer, a resident of Gaza, said: "It was an extremely terrifying night, many people were killed and many were wounded. It's a savage army, despicable zionists. They do not treat us as human beings. It was a horrific night, children and women torn to pieces, hundreds of houses bombed, and as you can see, this is why we are going."
As Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip intensify, Egyptian and Qatari officials have announced that a new round of indirect ceasefire negotiations between Hamas and Israel began yesterday.
The Israeli prime minister has also ordered the Israeli negotiating team in Doha to remain there to continue the indirect talks with Hamas.
Hamas, which had released an Israeli-American soldier as a goodwill gesture before Donald Trump’s recent Middle East trip, emphasized that any agreement must lead to the end of the war and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.
