As the clashes between Israel and Iran continue for the sixth consecutive day, air raid sirens have sounded repeatedly in central and northern Tehran, prompting many residents to either stay indoors or leave the city.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, responding to a recent warning from the US president urging Iran to surrender unconditionally, emphasized that the Iranian nation will not submit to threats.
Khamenei added that Iran will resist any imposed war.
Ayatollah Khamenei stated: “The damage that he (the US) will suffer in this matter will far exceed what Iran might endure. If the US enters this arena militarily, the harm will be irreparable. Undoubtedly.”
The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed today (Wednesday) that two centrifuge production centers located in Tehran and Karaj were targeted by Israeli missile strikes.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that in the eleventh wave of operations against Israel, it used “Fattah” hypersonic missiles with a range of 1,400 kilometers, and some of these missiles successfully penetrated Israel’s defense systems and hit military targets.
Iman Tajik, the spokesperson for “Operation True Promise 3” operation against Israel, said: "We extend our congratulations to the devoted commanders and fighters of the IRGC ( Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) Aerospace Force over the eleventh wave of the proud Operation 'True Promise 3,' carried out using first-generation Fattah missiles, that marks the beginning of the end for the so-called legendary air defenses of the Zionist army."
Meanwhile, Iranian media released footage claiming that Iran’s missile defense system shot down an Israeli drone this morning in eastern Isfahan.
On the sixth day of the conflict, Nicolás Maduro, the president of Venezuela, also called on Islamic countries to support Iran against Israeli attacks.
The Venezuelan president stated: "To the government of the People's Republic of China, to the government of Russia, to the government of Turkey, to the governments of the Gulf Council countries, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and to all countries of the global south, especially the Muslim countries, let's support the Islamic Republic of Iran in its desire for peace, its right to peace, the right of the people of Iran, and let's stop this madness."
Russia, China, Pakistan, and several other countries have advised their citizens to immediately leave Iran and Israel.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Ministry of Health announced that at least 585 people, including four journalists, have been killed and 1,326 others injured in the Israeli airstrikes.
