During a visit to Kyiv, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul once again reaffirmed his country’s firm support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
At a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart, Wadephul announced that Germany will continue supplying Ukraine with air defense systems, weapons, and economic aid, and will also participate in the development of Ukraine’s missile defense shield.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister urged Germany and Europe to show stronger and more active leadership in response to Russia’s increasing threats.
Andriy Sybiha warned that the growing capabilities of the Russian military, especially its use of advanced technologies in defense, pose a threat not only to Ukraine but to the security of all of Europe.
As Russia continues its aerial attacks on Ukraine, violence has escalated on various fronts. In recent days, several Ukrainian cities, particularly Kharkiv and Dnipro, have been targeted by Russian missile strikes, causing civilian casualties and damaging infrastructure.
