17 Dead After Heavy Mansoon Rains In Pakistan

At least 17 people were killed on Sunday after monsoon rains have inundated much of Pakistan, leaving large parts of the southern city of Karachi under water.

A local official has told Pakistani media that seven people died from electrocution and three people died after a roof collapsed in Karachi.

Meanwhile, local police officials said that five people died in a flash flood and another two were electrocuted in Punjab province, which also had heavy rains.

Dozens of peoples have left their homes after the monsoon after their houses water flooded.

The downpour and flooding began overnight, with authorities reporting more than 180 millimetres of rain in Karachi.
