Five Policemen Killed In Quetta Suicide Bombing

At least five Pakistani policemen were killed in a suicide bombing on the airport road in Quetta city on Tuesday night, Geo News reported.

In addition, seven other policemen were wounded.

The incident happened after a suicide bomber targeted a police truck, Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

Moazzam Jah Ansari, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) for Balochistan, stated that the suicide bomber had been riding a motorcycle and hit the truck from the rear end, Geo News reported.

“These acts of terrorism are originating from across the border,” Ansari said, adding that a case could not be filed for the suicide bombing — the third consecutive attack in the provincial capital.

However, no group including Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
