Turkey Reports Influx of Afghan Refugees

The Turkish government said that the number of Afghan refugees crossing the nation’s borders has significantly increased over the past few weeks.

Authorities in Turkey said that most of the Afghan refugees are fleeing the recent developments in Afghanistan.

The Turkish army said that they are monitoring their borders from the air and ground.

Sayed Fahim Musavi is an Afghan citizen who is among the refugees who left Afghanistan because he worked with foreign forces in the past.

“I was working with foreign forces, therefore I left Afghanistan,” said Sayed Fahim Musavi, an Afghan migrant.

“There is a possibility that some people cross the border despite restricted measures; mostly the refugees cross the border during rains,” said Mohammad Amin, the governor of the Turkish province of Van.

Currently, Turkey hosts nearly five million refugees, most of whom are Afghan.

Meanwhile, some Afghans living in France gathered in Paris in response to the recent developments in Afghanistan and called on the French government to relocate their families to France.
