Amid reports on large-scale fraud and irregularities in October 20 parliamentary elections, some electoral monitoring organizations on Sunday said Afghanistan’s Constitution and the election law have been “severely” violated in the polls.
 
They called on the country’s judicial institutions to take action against those who have committed fraud and have violated the law.
 
Meanwhile, Mohammad Hedayat, an advisor to the Second Vice President, said the Afghan government has stressed that there is a need for systematic reforms in the election commissions.
