The US-Taliban agreement—signed in Doha in February—can not be the basis for all topics that will be discussed in the peace negotiations in Qatar, said Abdullah Abdullah, the head of the High Council for National Reconciliation, reiterating that Afghanistan needs an inclusive peace.

The negotiations in Doha have been paused for the last many weeks over disputed points on the ground rules. The disputed points include the religious basis for the talks and the connection of the US-Taliban agreement with the process. 

A parliamentary probe team investigating the attack on the Central Bank employees on Monday said the bank officials are refusing to help them in their investigation.  

The attack happened in Makrorayan-e-Char area in Kabul’s PD9 on November 7 in which three employees of the Central Bank, including former TOLOnews presenter Yama Siawash, were killed. A member of the team says that lack of cooperation by the bank officials has challenged the process.
