The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amir Khan Muttaqi, said that efforts are underway for certain countries to reopen their embassies in Kabul in the coming days. Muttaqi said that the reopening of the embassies in Kabul reflects recognition of the Islamic Emirate and that some countries have already recognized the interim Afghan government without an official announcement.
