The fresh round of the peace negotiations between the United States and the Taliban negotiators in Doha continued for the third day, focusing on some important issues around the peace deal between the two sides on which they agreed in principle in September. 

A consultative meeting between election commissioners and campaign teams, political parties, civil society and election observers discussed issues around the Afghan presidential polls, particularly the disputed 300,000 votes, which according to them has delayed the results announcement multiple times.
