All about First Ever Afghan-Made Sports Car

The Afghanistan Technical Vocational Institute said that the creation of the first-ever sports car in Afghanistan has given a hopeful image to the nation that has suffered from decades of conflicts.

The head of the Afghanistan Technical Vocational Institute, Ghulam Haidar Shuhamat, said that efforts are underway to provide the ground for exploring of talents within the country.

“The specialty that this car has is that it has been made in Afghanistan and no such car has been created in the world. Afghanistan has been a country known for wars and conflicts and misery but now such a vehicle has been made here,” he said. “Second, it has a unique design… Third, it is firmed and light weigh.”

The designer of the car said that the car is capable of international competition.

Mohammad Riza Ahmadi, an engineer, said he has received many offers for the vehicle but the car is not for sale.

The vehicle was created by a team of around 30 members over five years in Afghanistan at the Technical Vocational Institute.

“The interest for purchase of the car has been both at national and international levels but the offers we receive are not standard. We have produced it for competition in the international markets and we hope to receive proper offers,” Ahmad said.

Other engineers said they will continue their efforts to offer more innovations.

“I came for working here, and I found my place. Those who hear me, I would tell them to pursue their dreams and skills,” said Ali Salmanian, a member of the Entop Company.

“Our wish from the youth is to use their opportunities and work through teams because if they have any idea or plan, it is not possible to do it alone,” said Amanullah, a member of the Entop Company.

The car has yet to be fully completed and it is expected that the car will be displayed in all provinces of the country.

The vehicle was put on display on the first day of snow in December 2022.
