The Afghanistan National Cricket Team defeated Ireland by 7 wickets in the second ODI match in Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, as they succeeded to complete the 260 runs target set by the Irish squad.
Afghanistan also won the first match of the series against Ireland last week.
In this match, batsmen Rahmat Shah and Hashmat Shahidi made 100 runs in a prominent partnership in 122 balls.
From Afghanistan, Rahmatullah Gurbaz made 31 runs, Javed Ahmadi 31 runs, Rahmat Shah (not out) 103 runs, Hashmatullah Shahidi 82 runs and captain Asghar Afghan (not out) 21 runs.
Meanwhile, Afghan bowlers Naveen-ul-Haq got 4 wickets, Mujeeb Rahman got 3 wickets, Gulbadin Naib 1 wicket and Rashid Khan got 1 wicket.
Paul Stirling's Century Helped Ireland Set a 260 Target for Afghanistan.
Ireland’s Paul Stirling made a solid 128 from 132 balls in the second ODI match against Afghanistan on Sunday to help his team set a 260 target.
Stirling was felled by Naveen ul Haq after he got 120 runs. The Afghan bowler ended with figures of 4/42.
