2 Afghan MMA Fighters Win Matches in Bahrain, US

Abdul Azim Badakhshi and Nusrat Haqparast, two Afghan mixed martial arts fighters, defeated rivals from Azerbaijan and Mexico at the Brave Combat competition and Ultimate Fighting Championship, which are MMA events.

Badakhshi defeated his Azerbaijani rival Agshin Babaev with a knockout out in the Brave Combat Federation, which was held in Bahrain on Thursday evening. It was his twelfth win.

Badakhshi went into the match with 12 wins and 3 losses, while his rival had 22 wins and 6 losses.

Badakhshi returned to Kabul on Saturday morning and was welcomed by his fans.

Nusrat Haqparast, another Afghan MMA fighter, won a match against Rafa Garcia, a rival from Mexico, in the Ultimate Fighting Championship in Las Vegas, US on Saturday evening.

Haqparast won the match with points, chalking up his 13th victory in his UFC record.  

Haqparast has 13 wins and 3 losses.

Badakhshi's rival went in to the fight with 12 wins and no losses.

Haqparast is the only Afghan MMA fighter representing Afghanistan in the UFC at the moment.
