Wali Mohammad Noori, an Afghan athlete who lost his eyesight in a blast in Helmand a decade ago has now become a well-known athlete in the country and abroad.
Noori has competed in many races and has made good achievements for Afghanistan.
He is set to attend a semi marathon race in London on Oct. 10 along with 1,000 other athletes who are not blind.
Noori has been exercising with his trainer since the last month and said he is ready to make another achievement on October 10.
“I will attend the race on October 10, and I hope to make another achievement like in the past races,” he said.
Noori and other runners are set to run 21 kilometers.
