Afghanistan's national cricket team beat West Indies by 56 runs in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 warm up matches being held in UAE and Oman.
Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Hazratullah Zazai and Mohammad Shehzad opened batting for the Afghan team. Zazai made a fast half-century that helped the Afghan team win the match.
The Afghan team put a 190-score target for the opponent team.
West Indies scored a total of 133 in 20 overs while five players were out.
However, Afghanistan lost its first warm up match against the South African team by 41 runs.
The ICC Cricket World Cup of 2021 is hosted by UAE and Oman. Afghanistan will play its first world cup match on October 25th. The opponent is yet to be determined as the qualification round of the World Cup series has not been finished yet. Due to its top rank in T20 matches, the Afghan team was granted a direct move to the World Cup matches.
As part of the qualification round matches, the Scottish team beat Papua New Guinea. The Bangladesh team beat Oman.
