Volleyball Team Prepares for Men's Asian Club Championship in Iran

The Afghanistan national volleyball team will leave for Iran in less than six days to participate in the Men's Asian Club Volleyball Championship.

Officials and coaches of the Volleyball Federation have deemed the national team's readiness to participate in the Men's Asian Club Volleyball Championship satisfactory and stressed supporting the athletes in this sport.

According to the officials, more than 30 players from across the country participated in this training camp, from which 14 top players were finally selected for the national team.

Hafiz Ahmadjan Zadran, the Deputy Technical Director of Physical Education and Sports, said: "We will have a welcoming ceremony for the athletes every week because they win medals for the benefit of the country in individual and team events."

Nisar Ahmad Hanifi, the Deputy Technical Director of the Volleyball Federation, said: "The purpose of this camp was to have a better national team, and this team will depart for Iran to participate in the Men's Asian Club Volleyball Championship to be held in Yazd, Iran."

Hamid Mowahedi, the head coach of the national volleyball team, said: "The players are very talented, highly skilled, and possess great intelligence, but they must participate in long-term training."

The Men's Asian Club Volleyball Championship, hosted by Iran, will begin on September 8th in the city of Yazd, with over 10 top clubs from Asia, including Afghanistan.

The national volleyball players, who have been engaged in training in the capital for the past month, express optimism about this training and selection camp aimed at fully preparing for the Asian Championships in Iran.

"We ask the Islamic Emirate to support us so that we can participate in international competitions and achieve better results for the benefit of the country," said Hazir Asifi, an athlete.

"My first wish is for our national team to participate in international competitions, and my second wish is to play in foreign leagues," said Nasir Kohistani, another athlete.

"This training camp has been very beneficial as we learned a lot of good tactics and techniques," said Lutfullah Azizi, another athlete.

The national volleyball players are preparing for the Men's Asian Club Volleyball Championship, and after these competitions, the country's volleyball players are scheduled to represent Afghanistan in the Central Asian Games.
