Afghan Footballer Esmatullah Hadafmand Aims to Reach FIFA World Cup

Esmatullah Hadafmand, an under-20 national football player from Balkh province, Afghanistan, has been pursuing football for nearly ten years.

During this time, Hadafmand has managed to achieve significant accomplishments both domestically and internationally.

This national team player has also experience playing for the club team Mawj Sal-e-Balkh.

Esmatullah Hadafmand told TOLOnews: "My request of the government and the private sector is to support athletes, especially Afghan football players."

Hadafmand's only dream is to reach the FIFA World Cup as part of the national team.

For the past two years, he has been invited to the under-20 national football team by the coaches of the Football Federation.

During this time, the Afghan football player has played four times with the under-20 national team against teams from Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia, Macau, and Australia.

Esmatullah Hadafmand said: "My only wish is to qualify for the World Cup with the Afghan national football team and achieve good results for the country."

One of the most significant achievements of this under-20 Afghan national player is his lone goal in the AFC Asian Cup against Macau.

Afghanistan Football Federation coaches have praised this player's performance within the national team and emphasized their support for him.

Rasool Ahmadi, the assistant coach of the under-20 national football team, said: "Esmatullah is one of the good players who was also named the phenomenon of the tournament in the third season of the Afghanistan Champions League, and we can say that he will be one of Afghanistan's future football stars."

"Esmatullah was selected from Balkh province, and I ask the national traders and traders of Balkh to support this player so that his financial issues are resolved, and he can continue his football in the best way possible," said Nasrullah Yousufi, a veteran Afghan football player.
