The Afghanistan A Cricket Team has been crowned champion of the Tri-Nation Series in Oman.
Afghan A cricketers were set to face Hong Kong in the final match of the 20-over tri-nation series yesterday (Tuesday); however, the match was canceled due to rain.
Officials from the Afghanistan Cricket Board stated that the Afghanistan A team was declared the tournament champion, having secured two victories against Hong Kong and the host, Oman, and achieved better results overall compared to its rivals.
Afghanistan Cricket Board officials also announced that Afghan players will compete in the Asian Youth Cup against teams from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong. Their first match in this tournament is scheduled for October 18, 2024, against Sri Lanka.
