16 Afghan players had registered for the 2025 IPL auction.

The auction concluded last night (Monday), but there is a possibility that some players may still be selected during the tournament based on teams’ requirements.

According to a press release from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BBCI), the 2025 IPL season will begin on March 14 and will continue through May.

Additionally, the BCCI has pre-announced the match schedules for the next three seasons.

Cricket analysts believe that the early announcement of dates is intended to aid commercial contracts and assist teams and players in better planning their tournaments.

It is worth mentioning that the winner of the 2024 IPL season was Kolkata, which will defend its championship title in 2025.
