Afghan Taekwondo Team Wins a Gold and Silver Medal

Mansoori defeated a Chinese rival in his first match and a Nepalese in the second.

Mansoori lost his third match to a Chinese team member but won his fourth match—also against Chinese.

In the fifth match, he faced injuries in his leg and had to forfeit.

Sixteen countries attended the China Open International Taekwondo Championships, which is hosted annually by the World and Asian Taekwondo Federations. Six athletes from Afghanistan, including two girls, participated in the event.
