Mawjhay Amu beat Oqaban Hindukosh 1-0 on Saturday in the third match of this year’s Afghanistan Premier League (APL) football tournament in Kabul.
The match was held at the Afghanistan Football Federation stadium.
Oqaban player Zmarai Salangi hit the net in the 37th minute but the goal was denied after the referee deemed it a hand ball.
By the end of the first half, no goal had been scored.
Amu player Farhad Ahadi scored for his team in the 49th minute.
Both teams had numerous chances at goal but the score remained deadlocked at 1-0 in Amu’s favor when the whistle was blown.
The next match of the sixth round of the Afghanistan Premier League football tournament will be held on Wednesday when Simorgh Alborz faces De Abasin Sap.
