Mis Ainak, Band-e-Amir To Play In Final Match Of Shpageeza

The Band-e-Amir Dragons are to play against the Mis Ainak Knights on Friday in the final Shpageeza Cricket League 2019.

The Band-e-Amir Dragons beat the Kabul Eagles on Thursday by three runs.

Band-e Amir started the batting in today’s match against Kabul Eagles and set a target of 226.

Kabul’s Imran Janat and Javed Ahmadi recorded the highest partnership in the tournament's history with 176 runs.

Janat remained unbeaten at 115 while Ahmadi scored 77 runs.

Kabul Eagles were short by three runs and lost the match.

Kabul Eagles' all-rounder Karim Janat continues his good form as he completed his half-century against Band-e-Amir.

Eagles’s Younas Ahmadzai also had a brilliant half-century under pressure in a big run chase.

Last year, Band-e-Amir won the fifth round’s title after beating the Spin Ghar Tigers.

The Shpageeza tournament was established in 2013 with six franchises, including players from the national team, overseas, players from the ‘A’ team and players from the under 19 team as well as elite performers from the regions participating in the tournament.
