A Taliban team led by deputy leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has traveled to Pakistan and met with high-ranking Pakistani officials to discuss the Afghan peace process and other topics, said spokesman Suhail Shaheen.

Shaheen said that the visit took place at the invitation of Pakistan's Foreign Ministry.

The delegation will hold talks with senior Pakistani officials, Shaheen said.
