TAWDE KHABARE: Surrender of Daesh Fighters Discussed
Over the past week, at least “300 Daesh members,” including women and children, surrendered to Afghan Special Forces in Achin district of Nangarhar province, according to Commander Waliullah, chief of Army Special Forces in Achin.
“We conducted joint operations with local police, army and national police in Achin district and put a lot of pressure on Daesh,” said Commander Waliullah.
This comes as the acting interior minister in his recent trip to Nangarhar province said that the Daesh group has been eliminated in the country.
The main questions are: Has Daesh really been eliminated? Is Daesh simply moving from one place to another? Will it be dangerous for security forces even after a peace agreement?
