Iran’s Foreign Ministry has announced its readiness to engage in discussions with several European countries regarding its nuclear program and other issues.
Ismail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, stated that deputy foreign ministers of Iran, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom will meet on Friday (November 29) to discuss regional, global, and bilateral issues.
Baghaei added: "In this meeting, cooperation and interaction with other countries will be based on the principles of dignity, wisdom, and expediency. These talks will continue previous negotiations with the three European countries."
He also mentioned that discussions on these topics have taken place in New York. Baghaei emphasized that regional issues, such as Palestine, Lebanon, and matters related to Iran’s nuclear program, will also be discussed during the meeting.
Western countries, including members of the United Nations Security Council, have previously engaged in negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program, deeming it illegal.
The strongest criticism has come from the United States, which believes Iran’s nuclear activities pose a threat to global security.
