Iran-Israel Conflict: Missile Strikes Escalate as Diplomatic Efforts Begin

On the seventh day of direct clashes between Iran and Israel, there is no sign of de-escalation, and the exchange of missile attacks continues.

In the latest development, Iranian media reported that the Israeli army attacked the heavy water nuclear facilities in the cities of Arak and Khondab.

An Iranian reporter narrated the event as follows: “Around 6 AM today, we witnessed the blatant aggression of the child-killing regime. The air defense acted strongly, and only two of the enemy's projectiles hit the area surrounding the Martyrs of Khondab nuclear site.”

Iran also announced the launch of the 14th wave of its operation against Israel, carrying out fresh missile attacks on various areas in southern and central Israel.

Iman Tajik, the spokesperson for “Operation True Promise 3” operation against Israel, said: “The 14th wave of the operation began with a combination of suicide drones and strategic missiles. In this operation, the command and intelligence center of the Israeli army near a hospital was precisely and directly targeted.”

Meanwhile, the US President reacted to the rising tensions between Iran and Israel, saying that Iran has requested a meeting with American officials regarding the nuclear issue.

Donald Trump, the US President, said: “We've got ways to go. They should, look, they should have made the deal, I had a great deal for them. They should have made that deal, 60 days we talked about it, and in the end, they decided not to do it and now they wish they did it and they want to meet. But it's, you know, but it's a little late to meet, but they want to meet, and they want to come to the White House. So they'll even come to the White House. So we'll see. I may do that.”

The Russian president also stated that Iran has not requested military assistance from Moscow so far.

Vladimir Putin called for a solution that meets Iran’s interests while addressing Israel’s security concerns.

Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, said: “Everyone to look for ways to end hostilities and find ways for all parties to this conflict to come to an agreement with each other in order to ensure both Iran's interests, on the one hand, for its nuclear activities, including peaceful nuclear activities, of course  - I mean peaceful nuclear energy and the peaceful atom in other areas - as well as to ensure the interests of Israel from the point of view of the unconditional security of the Jewish state.”

Amid rising concerns about the escalation in the Middle East, the foreign ministers of France, Britain, and Germany are scheduled to meet with their Iranian counterpart tomorrow (Friday) in Geneva.

The prime minister of Bulgaria also announced that due to increased security concerns, the country has decided to temporarily close its embassy in Tehran.
