Results of University Entrance Exam Announced

Today (Monday, 13 Sunbleh), the National Examination Authority announced the results of the 1402 Kankor university entrance exam at a ceremony.

The authority announced that Mahmoud, a resident of Farah province, got first place in the 1402 entrance exam with a score of 359 and entered the Faculty of Medicine of Kabul Medical University. Abbas, a resident of Kabul, was second with 357 points, and Abdul Baais, a resident of Kabul, was third with 355 points, Shafiullah, a resident of Ghazni, was fourth with 354 points and Hashmatullah, a resident of Kabul was fifth with 352 points.

All five students have been admitted to the Faculty of Medicine at Kabul University.

Abdul Baqi Haqqani, head of the National Examination Authority, said that 84,234 people participated in this year's entrance exam, and among them 44,336 people entered higher education, 2,755 people entered semi-higher education, and 31,420 people entered private universities.

Meanwhile, Abdul Salam Hanafi, the second deputy of the prime minister, said at the ceremony that about 20,000 more students participated in the entrance exam compared to previous years, and he called on the youth to stay in Afghanistan and take advantage of the education in the country.

Noorulhaq Anwar, the head of the Administrative Office of the Islamic Emirate, at the announcement of the entrance exam results said that in the past few decades, due to a lack of expertise and commitment, problems have arisen in Afghanistan that are not easy for the Islamic Emirate to compensate for.

Before the Islamic Emirate took power, girls had won first place in the entrance exam for two years, and females were excluded from the exam.
