Ministry to Build Terminals in Kabul's Four Zones

The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (MUDH) has announced the construction of four terminals in the near future to reduce traffic congestion in Kabul.

These four terminals will be built in four zones of the capital, namely in the districts of Khak Jabar, Istalif, Char Asiab, and Paghman Arghandi, for freight vehicles.

Mohammad Kamal Afghan, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, told TOLOnews: "In order to reduce traffic and ensure the timely arrival of Kabul residents, transport and freight terminals will be established at the four zones or gates of Kabul city, which we hope will reduce the burden on Kabul city."

Meanwhile, some residents of Kabul have expressed their satisfaction with the construction of the terminals, considering such a move beneficial in reducing traffic congestion.

Abdul Mateen, a resident of Kabul, said: "With the four terminals being built for us in Kabul city, the burden will be reduced, it will be a great work, and it will ease the movement of people."

Samim, another resident of Kabul, says: "A good convenience will come to the residents of Kabul; even now, it takes a lot of time to go to the city."

Previously, the General Directorate of Traffic had also said that they have plans to reduce traffic congestion during the Eid holidays in Kabul.
