Mohammad Nabi Omari, the Deputy Minister of the Interior said that the current government system cannot be built solely on clerics and students; modern science education is also a serious necessity.
At a student exhibition of the Mechanical Institute in Khost province, he emphasized the need for trained professionals in every sector.
At the exhibition, the handmade creations of the students from the Mechanical Institute of Khost were displayed.
“A system is not built only with clerics, and I repeat, if my elders and I are mistaken that the system can be built only with the likes of me, the jihadists and talibs, then that mistake is theirs to celebrate, and we do not agree with it,” said the deputy minister of Interior, Mohammad Nabi Omari.
Meanwhile, the Chargé d'affaires of the Islamic Emirate's embassy in the United Arab Emirates also emphasized modern science education at the event, stating that the country's problems could be solved by training specialists in modern and religious sciences.
“'Every official who has a responsibility within the Islamic Emirate is dedicated and aware that as long as God maintains this system, you will see a progressive Afghanistan in the shortest possible time,” said Badrudin Haqqani, the chargé d'affaires of the Islamic Emirate's embassy in the United Arab Emirates
Furthermore, officials from this institute have requested the provision of additional facilities for these students.
“The Mechanical Institute has many needs. Its building is in poor condition and lacks the necessary equipment for workshops,” said Mazlum Sabri, administrator of the Mechanical Institute of Khost.
“This was supposed to be built in two and a half months, but due to various problems, including economic ones, it was delayed; this pickup-shaped vehicle was built in 14 months,” said Noor Wais Khan, a student at the Mechanical Institute of Khost.
Several students from the Mechanical Institute in Khost, who had displayed dozens of their handcrafted creations at this exhibition, also called for support from officials and aid organizations.
