Two Explosions in Mazar-e-Sharif, One Civilian Killed

An Afghan civilian was killed after an IED explosion occurred in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of the northern province of Balkh, according to the police officials in the city.

Ten others, including five civilians and five security force members, were wounded in the explosion in PD3 of the city.

According to Adel Shah Adel, a spokesman for the Balkh police force, the deputy inspector of PD3 police station, Ghulam Ali, has been wounded.

Balkh police also said that there was a second explosion a few moments after the first which wounded 5 security personnel and five civilians.

Balkh's health department meanwhile said that one dead body and ten wounded people have been transferred to the hospital and three are in serious condition.
