Integrity Watch Afghanistan raised concern over Afghanistan’s suspension as a member of Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) and said this move will have a negative impact on foreign aid and investment in the mining sector.

According to the agency, Afghanistan has not been able to meet the standards of the organization over the past 10 years, and therefore Afghanistan's membership in the organization has been suspended.
