The acting Defense Minister, Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, said that some countries fail to provide their own security and then blame Afghanistan.

Mawlawi Yaqoob made the remarks on the 2nd anniversary of the Islamic Emirate, without specifying a particular country.

He said that such remarks are possibly aiming to show Afghanistan as a dangerous country to the world.

“These messages may be meant to reflect to the world that Afghanistan is dangerous for you, so don’t let this country keep going as it is right now.

But this time, the enemies of Afghanistan will take this hope to the grave," he said

Mawlawi Yaqoob said that if the world does not recognize the interim Afghan government, the Islamic Emirate does not need it to. 

“Those who don’t recognize us, we do not need their recognition,” Mujahid said.

He also called on citizens to support the interim Afghan government.
