MoIC: 371,000 Afghans Traveled to Domestic Tourist Sites Last Year

Khairullah Khairkhah, the acting minister of Information and Culture, said in an annual report of the ministry that the Ministry of Information and Culture has surveyed 100 historical places in 16 provinces.

The acting Minister of Information and Culture stated that about 6,232 new historical works have been registered in various provinces of the country, and in the past year, 371,000 domestic tourists have visited various places in the country.

The Ministry of Information and Culture said it has a plan to hold "a meeting of 500 people" including university professors, influential people, students, and all sections of society in all provinces of Afghanistan and the first meeting will start next Thursday in Nangarhar province, said Hayatullah Mohajer Farahi, an official of the ministry at the annual reporting of the ministry. He said the meeting will continue in 34 provinces of Afghanistan.
Hayatullah Mohajer Farahi stated that the Ministry of Information and Culture has modified the media law and some parts of it have been entrusted to the leadership of the Islamic Emirate, which will soon be available to everyone.

According to Farahi, the accomplishments of the ministry include the suspension of media programs that are against Afghan customs, Islamic values, and the interests of the country, collecting books that cause the intellectual deviation of the youth, creating a commission, and creating a process to review books are achievements of the ministry.
