The acting minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said that the road work between Badakhshan and China will be completed in the next three months.
Mohammad Yonis Akhund, while inaugurating the work of a retaining wall in Kandahar, said that 50 major infrastructure projects are currently underway in the country, including the Qosh Tepa Canal.
“A road has also been started in Badakhshan, which will be connected to China in maybe two months or three months, in the first month of spring. This road was arranged by the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development,” said Mohammad Yonis Akhund.
At the opening ceremony of the 5 km of the wall in the Spin Boldak district of Kandahar, officials said that the destruction of thousands of acres of agricultural land will be prevented.
Officials said that the project will cost more than 75 million Afghani and its work will be completed in the next six months.
“Until now, I have been busy with this work, and, God willing, the technical work is over, and the practical work is about to begin,” said Abdul Jabar Hekmat, head of the Rural Rehabilitation and Development department in Kandahar.
“Thousands of acres of land will be saved from the danger of water,” said Mohammad Shafiq Achakzai, head of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment of Spin Boldak.
The Acting Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development also said that all the projects of the Islamic Emirate are implemented from internal revenue and there is complete transparency in their implementation.
