An official of the Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), the country’s power distributor company, said company needs $2 billion for implementing its projects to boost the energy sector.

To meet this need, the head of DABS had raised the issue at an investment meeting in Saudi Arabia and had said that the Saudi Investment Bank was ready to hand a package of its loans to the Afghan company.

But the Ministry of Finance says the institution is not aware of this matter.
