Afghanistan`s Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) said on Wednesday that their investigation reveals that approximately 1,000 polling centers in 15 to 20 provinces need a recount.

Chaman Shah Etemadi, head of the secretariat of the IECC, said that the IECC will coordinate the recount process with the Independent Election Commission (IEC) and will start the process in the upcoming week.
