The Health Ministry said on Sunday that 38 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in the country in the past 24 hours.
So far 299 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Afghanistan, according to the Public Health Ministry.
The center will have the capacity to test 30 samples a day, according to Balkh health officials.
Ministry of Public Health says 18 new cases of the coronavirus were reported in last 24 hours.
Overall the Ministry of Health has registered suspected cases (not confirmed by testing) of COVID-19 in 30 provinces.
The fund will cover all 34 Afghan provinces to slow down the spread of COVID-19 across Afghanistan.
Government officials say aid from Uzbekistan is also on its way.
