The ICC Cricket T20 World Cup kicked off on Sunday in Oman following a long delay due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

The World Cup had been rescheduled in India, but the outbreak of the virus once again was an obstacle. The International Cricket Council decided to hold the World Cup tournament in Oman and neighboring UAE.
16 countries are included in the competition.
Afghanistan is located in group b and will play Pakistan, India and New Zealand. The Afghan Cricket Team will play its first match on October 25th, but its opponent has not yet been determined. On October 29th, Afghanistan will play against Pakistan.
