Technical Training Authority Holds Exhibition in Kabul

The Technical Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVET) held a national exhibition called "Innovations And Top Initiatives" in Kabul with the participation of producers of various technical products.

A number of officials of the Islamic Emirate who participated in the opening event of the exhibition called the initiatives of students and industrialists important for the development of Afghanistan.

Ghulam Haidar Shahamat, head of TVET Authority, said at the opening event that this authority has started work in various sectors, including the training of technical workers in mines, in the railway, tourism, hotel and agriculture sectors.

“Despite the fact that our students in Afghanistan are poor, we have to create a competition among the institutes and educational centers in the country and the result of it is today's exhibition,” Shahamat said.

However, some other officials also said that since the Islamic Emirate came into power, good opportunities have been provided for the development of the young talent.

"Once again, we assure the Technical and Vocational Education Department that we will transfer your graduated students to university classes without wasting time in their respective fields," said Neda Mohammad Nadim, acting minister of Higher Education.

"Besides teaching a profession and an art, efforts should be made to teach students and their thoughts to serve humanity,” said Hamdullah Nomani, the acting Minister of Urban Development and Land.

"Today, we have good opportunities ahead of us to build the country and educate our young generation," said Abdulbaqi Haqqani, head of the national examination authority.

"This heater uses fuel that is used both for cooking and for keeping the house warm. It is very low consumption. One liter of oil can be used for four to six hours," said Gul Rahim, a participant who made a heater.

This exhibition will be open to visitors for 3 days.

On the first day of this exhibition, the Department of TVET signed agreememts with the Ministries of Urban Development and Housing, Finance, Artisans Association and some private institutions.
