Afridun Amu is a well-known Afghan surfer who enters international competitions in Asia and elsewhere.
His interest in surfing sparked at the age of 20, leading him to represent Afghanistan at the World Championships in 2017, a passion he actively pursues to this day.
Afridun Amu, who currently lives in Portugal, is preparing for the Asian Championship competitions in 2024, which will be hosted by the Maldives in August.
He says he has been training in the waters of Portugal for some time now to compete effectively in the event and is ready to compete against others from various Asian countries on behalf of Afghanistan.
As he prepares for the surfing events in the Maldives, he seeks the support of other athletes in this sport from Afghanistan to join him at the Asian Championship.
Amu adds that he needs several elite swimmers from Afghanistan in surfing to achieve favorable results for the country in the Maldives.
This Afghan surfer says that he will train experienced and well-known Afghan swimmers in surfing for two weeks to competently participate in the Asian Championship in the Maldives.
The Asian Surfing Championships, hosted by the Maldives, will be held from August 17 to 24, 2024.
