MEHWAR: International Midwife Day Marked In Kabul

The International Day of Midwives was marked in Kabul, where the lack of midwives in remote areas of the country was highlighted.

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said that with an increase in the number of trained midwives, the maternal and infant mortality rate has dropped slightly.

Meanwhile, the first lady of the country, Rula Ghani, said in a message that the role of midwives is vital in ensuring the health of mothers and children in the community.
