A six-member delegation from the Afghan government, entirely chosen by President Ashraf Ghani, is on its way to Doha to meet with the Taliban right after the US-Taliban deal scheduled to be signed on Saturday, sources said.

The US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad reportedly asked the Stability and Convergence campaign, led by CE Abdullah Abdullah, to share some names as part of an Afghan government’s peace-negotiating team to talk to the Taliban, said Mohammad Mohaqiq, the second deputy of CE Abdullah, as the reduction in violence plan (RIV) enters the sixth day.
