Faizullah Jalal, a university lecturer and a political analyst, was arrested in Kabul on Saturday by security forces, a security source said.

According to the source, Jalal was arrested in relation to making allegations against some government departments.

He is now being interrogated by the intelligence department of the Islamic Emirate in Kabul, the source said.

Officials of the Islamic Emirate have not yet commented on the issue.

Jalal’s family has also confirmed his arrest.
