The Kabul intelligence gathered nearly one hundred tons of expired food and non-halal meat and set it on fire, said an intelligence official.

Health officials of intelligence in Kabul said that most of these materials were collected from PD9 and PD16 in Kabul in the past month. 

“35 tons of pork and 65 tons of expired meat were set on fire,” said Abdul Qader Mangal, a health official of Kabul Intelligence. 

Abdul Qader Mangal added that in connection with these materials, 4 people have been arrested.  

“We collected these materials over one month and we arrested 4 people and brought them to court,” said Abdul Qader Mangal. 

Meanwhile, some Kabul residents asked the Islamic Emirate to stop the sale of non-halal meat. 

“This is a good step, and with this, they can prevent diseases,” said Nawroz, a Kabul resident. 

“We call on the Islamic Emirate to prevent the use of expired materials so we can prevent diseases amid the poverty that we live in,” said Alim, a Kabul resident. 

According to the information of health officials of Kabul intelligence, all non-halal meats were obtained from Camp Phoenix, an area used as a military installation before the Islamic Emirate takeover.
