The Islamic Emirate’s Prime Minister, Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, received the Pakistani delegation led by Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, the leader of Pakistan's Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam party, the Arg said in a statement.
According to the statement, Mullah Hassan Akhund urged Pakistan to stop “cruel” behavior towards the Afghan refugees. Arg quoted Fazl-ur-Rehman as saying that he raised his voice against Pakistan’s treatment of the Afghan refugees.
He said the objective of his visit was to “eliminate misunderstanding and provide cooperation in political, economic and trade relations,” the statement said.
Based on the statement, Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting foreign minister, referred to the issues of problems of refugees and challenges posed by Pakistani officials to transit and export by Afghan traders
The meeting was attended by the Supreme Judge of the Islamic Emirate, Abdul Haqim Haqqani, FM Amir Khan Muttaqi, Noor Mohammad Saqib, the acting Minister of Haj and Religious Affairs, and other members of the Islamic Emirate’s cabinet, the Arg said.
On Sunday, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, accompanied by a delegation including the head of mission of Pakistan in Kabul, Ubaid Ur Rehman Nizamani, arrived in Kabul.
