The Islamic Emirate commented on a recent UN report, saying such reports are an abuse of the UN name.
The Islamic Emirate, in response to the quarterly report of the United Nations on Afghanistan, stated that such reports are orchestrated by certain specific circles to exert pressure on the Islamic Emirate.
The deputy spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, Hamdullah Fetrat, told TOLOnews that publishing such reports is an abuse of the UN name.
“These actions are carried out at the behest of certain specific intelligence circles and nefarious people who are trying unsuccessfully to exert pressure on the Islamic Emirate. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan views this report with suspicion and considers it an abuse of the name and title of the United Nations,” he said.
Several political analysts said that some issues need to be resolved through dialogue.
"They provide a report and we reject it. Instead of rejecting, let's go towards talking. The United Nations and the international community have oppressed the Afghans, despite this, the ruling system needs to find the language of the world to find solutions to these problems and pressures,” said Amanullah Hotaki, a political analyst.
“The UN Secretary-General has presented a list of problems that the people of Afghanistan are grappling with, especially regarding women. The caretaker government must take these seriously and work towards reforming them," Tariq Farhadi, a political analyst, told TOLOnews.
On Wednesday, the report of António Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, was published, which addressed the humanitarian, economic, security crises, and the fight against drugs in Afghanistan.
