Some Afghan migrants, recently deported from Pakistan and returned to their country, are concerned about their future.
They are calling on the Islamic Emirate to provide them with shelter and job opportunities.
Hazrat Gul Eid Mohammad, a deported migrant from Pakistan, said, "Our request from the Islamic Emirate is to assist us. We have no homes; if they cooperate with us in providing land and houses."
After spending forty years of his life, Eid Mohammad returned from Pakistan last Thursday.
Eid Mohammad, a deported migrant from Pakistan, stated, "We couldn't go to the city; whenever we went, they arrested us and took money from us. Four days ago, I was arrested and they took 18,000 Afghanis from me."
Meanwhile, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) also released a report stating that from September 2023 to April 6, 2024, over five hundred and forty-eight thousand nine hundred deported Afghan migrants have been registered with this agency.
The report further states that of the given statistics, 62% are children and adolescents, 20% are children under five years of age, and 48% are women.
Asifa Stanikzai, a migrant rights activist, said, "With the intensification of forced deportations by Pakistan, it is necessary for the regime in Afghanistan to engage in diplomatic consultations with the relevant Pakistani officials and international organizations on this matter."
The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations has not commented on this issue; however, according to the statistics from this ministry, nearly two thousand eight hundred Afghan migrants were returned from Pakistan and Iran on Tuesday.
