Four Jundullah Insurgents Arrested in Takhar

At least four members of Jundullah were arrested in a special operation in northern Takhar province, the National Directorate of Security (NDS) said in a statement on Sunday.

The special operation was launched in Dasht-e-Qala district of the province while the insurgents were busy planting roadside mines, according to the statement.

The statement said that the insurgents were also busy plotting "terrorist attacks" in the province.

One of the insurgents named Abdul Hadi was busy placing the IEDs, and had been responsible for blasts and terror attacks. Among those arrested were tribal elders, the statement read.

Security forces also seized some explosive devices during the operation, it stated.
