A civilian was killed and another was injured in a roadside mine blast in eastern Laghman province early Monday, local officials said.
The attack took place around 7 a.m. in Qarghayi district of the province after a civilian car struck a roadside mine killing a man and injuring another, a spokesman for Laghman's acting governor, Sarhardi Zwak said.
"The injured victim is in critical condition," Zwak said.
