The acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum (MoMP), Shahabuddin Delawar, said that the Islamic Emirate came to power after intra Afghan talks.

In an interview with TOLOnews, Delawar said that the Islamic Emirate's war in Afghanistan before the collapse of the Republic forced America to negotiate with the Taliban.

"The war forced the Americans to negotiate with us. The war, which means Jihad, forced them to find a way to withdraw from Afghanistan,” Delawar said.

In reaction remarks made by Pakistani authorities, this senior Islamic Emirate official said that Afghanistan is not a threat to any country.

"We tell the whole world this, we have pledged that the soil of Afghanistan will not be used against anyone. There is no proof or evidence in this regard,” Delawar further stated.

Delawar said that the Islamic Emirate had fulfilled all requirements for recognition and accused the world of creating excuses to not recognize the present Afghan government.

According to Delawar, the world does not want a strong government in Afghanistan.

"They fought here for 20 years, and an opponent that fights for 20 years and loses badly never wants the opposing side to advance quickly. Without mentioning the recognition, there is no longer any possibility for them to stop the Islamic Emirate and the development of Afghanistan,” the minister said.

Even though Shahabuddin Delawar declined to comment on the exact date of the reopening of schools, he did mention that work is still being done on the educational curriculum for girls above the sixth grade.
